Alex Stephenson has over 15 years’ experience in helping complex organisations in both the private and public sectors to gain the trust of, and drive action from, key stakeholders.

Alex is passionate about building long-term partnerships with science and deeptech clients, to deliver the best value and outcomes.

Before joining Memetic, she was Director of Client Services at a leading science and innovation communications agency where she was responsible for the health of all client relationships, and delivered consistent retention and growth.

Alex specialises in long-term communications support, helping organisations to stay relevant, launch new initiatives and consistently grow. She has supported British institutions like Ordnance Survey, the National Physical Laboratory and the Royal Academy of Engineering for extended periods, each spanning over 5 years.
She has worked extensively with ‘enabling’ organisations, such as Innovate UK and the Catapults, that accelerate the innovation landscape through funding and support, to help them attract the best talent, build trust and increase their impact.
Alex also has a strong track record of helping start-ups and scale ups, such as OneWeb and bit.bio, where quick and credible communication is crucial to business success.
At Memetic, Alex leads on communications strategies and running multi-channel campaigns.
She is committed to delivering gold-standard client service, and believes consultants should be an extension to the client’s team, motivated by the same goals while offering a fresh perspective. She ensures that solutions are sensitive to internal culture or restrictions, while having the creativity and ambition to stand out from the crowd and yield the desired results.
