Frequently asked questions

  • There are three hosting options, depending on the level of IT involvement you would like:

    1. Hosted externally, pointing to your domain. We host the build and provide your IT team with a DNS record to create with your domain provider — typically a five-minute task. The result appears as your own asset (e.g. report.yourcompany.com) without any changes to your existing site. This is the approach we use for our own reports.

    2. Embedded via iframe. Hosting remains the same, but the build is displayed within a page on your site, so visitors never leave it. This is usually straightforward to configure, though some enterprise security policies restrict iframe embedding — we would recommend confirming this with your IT team in advance.

    3. Built natively into your site. We provide the complete file, and your team installs it directly within your CMS (e.g. WordPress). This offers the deepest integration and the strongest SEO performance, though it requires more IT resource, as your team will be responsible for ensuring it fits your existing site theme and CSS.

  • Option 1 is the simplest and our default recommendation. Option 3 offers the strongest search visibility and the most native feel, at the cost of greater IT involvement. Option 2 sits between the two. We are happy to advise based on your specific setup.

  • To a degree, depending on the option chosen. Option 3 performs best; options 1 and 2 involve a modest trade-off in visibility in exchange for a lighter implementation. If your current approach is a downloadable PDF, the SEO impact is broadly similar to options 1 and 2.

  • Yes. Every build uses your fonts, colours and tone of voice, briefed from your existing brand guidelines.

  • Yes, every build is responsive by default.

  • Typically a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on complexity and whether Memetic is producing the content as well as the build.

  • Yes. Where we are hosting the build, minor updates are included as standard for up to four weeks from delivery. Beyond this period, or for more significant changes, updates may be subject to a small fee depending on the scope of the request.

  • Yes, but security details depend on the hosting option chosen.

    Where Memetic hosts the build (options 1 and 2), a data processing agreement covers the data collected - including standard analytics as well as data capture forms.

    Where the build is installed directly on your infrastructure (option 3), no data passes through Memetic and your existing security posture applies.

    For options 1 and 2, we also follow a defined process for retiring DNS records if a build is ever decommissioned, to avoid orphaned domain pointers. We're happy to work through the specifics with your IT or security team.
